Setting Up A Computer Network At Home Office
So I was setting up a home office and needed a lap and desk top computer that has networking capabilities. I went online looking for qualified computer services that offered A+ technicians that could steer me in the right direction. What I found was an overwhelming number of services to choose from and that in itself was confusing. In addition, the newspaper ads were full of computer sales and services. Where was I going to find a one-stop computer repair West Palm Beach tech company or store??
In addition to the hardware needed to set up shop at home, I realized I needed all kinds of software as well. Programs such as virus and spyware protection and of course, then there is always the ever present need for repair and tutorials. So I found an online computer repair school and promptly “enrolled”. What an experience. It was an invaluable tool to get me up and going. The site even offered “hot to” services such as how to start up your own computer business whether it be building home computers, repair service or virus removal services. My next step was to find any “freebies” like malware software and virus protection.
Once I was set up at home, I needed to network with the computers at the office. That was a challenge, one I was not up to, so I went back to the web to look for an IT. One that I could build a good relationship with and keep once the IT became knowledgeable of my type of business. After a few false starts, I did in fact find a good IT, one that knew all there seemed to know about any computer related issue. He even offered remote repairs and virus removals which was invaluable to me because that meant my down time was kept to a minimum.
All in all I found it quite an education. Just when you think you have discovered all you need to succeed, BANG! a new hiccup appears out of the blue and you’re back to square one. And back to the internet to find more answers.
